The Marina Bay Sands™
Singapore
Aedas as Lead Consultant & Executive Architect, Moshe Safdie as Lead Design Architect.
The Singapore Government awarded the project to Marina Bay Sands (MBS) because of its complementary architecture to the Gardens at Marina South and the company’s commitment to the country’s economic and tourism future.
The 570,000m² mixed use waterfront development will comprise an extensive MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) complex, retail and dining space, a casino, two state-of-the-art theatres, an ArtScience Museum, a waterfront promenade and two ‘floating’ crystal pavilions. The development will also feature three hotel towers, capped by a rooftop Sky Park – a lush garden with swimming pools, spas, restaurants, and 360-degree views of Singapore’s skyline.
Following the announcement of MBS’ successful bid in May 2006, the project is currently under Design Development Stage and is expected to be completed by December 2009.
